9月6日讯 在世预赛18强赛首战结束后，国足又马不停蹄地进入到与沙特队比赛前的备战。记者裴力认为沙特没有想象中的强，同时也为国足提出了建议。
裴力表示：“沙特确实没有想象中的强，国足也没有表现得那么差。关键队员得拿出取胜欲望和勇气，伊万的战术设定需要进一步细化，人员安排要认真思量。现阶段人员使用未免太过随意了。”
首轮比赛中，国足0-7负于日本，而沙特则是1-1战平印尼。根据赛程安排，国足与沙特的比赛将在北京时间9月10日晚20:00进行，届时国足将坐镇主场大连梭鱼湾球场迎战对手。
